"They PAY me to make little pictures?" Cool.

 

Dorothy Shaw's career has been in advertising and award-winning design. Over 25 years ago she opened her own advertising and design agency, dotgraphics. More recently she has authored, illustrated, designed and/or published multiple children's picture books as well as adult books  She has also returned to oil painting and portraits.

She organizes and visualizes text to become art, translating words into color and shape. What is the color of comfort, the shape of love, the smell of sunshine? How can the feeling of a warm hug be printed on a page? Can music crash out  of a piano like waves of emotion? How do images inform the viewer and add value to the text, or vice versa?

She is honored to have worked with so many inspirational people, agencies and companies, and to serve as a creator for her Creator.
